【摘要】:ThesetestmethodsforthechemicalanalysisofmetalsandalloysareprimarilyintendedasrefereemethodstotestsuchmaterialsforcompliancewithcompositionalspecificationsparticularlythoseunderthejurisdictionofASTMCommitteeA1onSteel,StainlessSteel,andRelatedAlloys.Itisassumedthatallwhousethesetestmethodswillbetrainedanalystscapableofperformingcommonlaboratoryproceduresskillfullyandsafely.ItisexpectedthatworkwillbeperformedinaproperlyequippedlaboratoryunderappropriatequalitycontrolpracticessuchasthosedescribedinGuideE882.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthechemicalanalysisoftoolsteelsandothersimilarmedium-andhigh-alloysteelshavingchemicalcompositionswithinthefollowinglimits:1.3TestmethodsforthedeterminationofseveralelementsnotincludedinthisstandardcanbefoundinTestMethodsE30andTestMethodsE1019.1.4Someoftheconcentrationrangesgiveninaretoobroadtobecoveredbyasingletestmethodandthereforethisstandardcontainsmultipletestmethodsforsomeelements.TheusermustselectthepropertestmethodbymatchingtheinformationgivenintheScopeandInterferencesectionsofeachtestmethodwiththecompositionofthealloytobeanalyzed.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Insomecases,exceptionsallowedinPracticeE380arealsoused.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSectionandinspecial"Warning"paragraphsthroughoutthesetestmethods.1.6Thismethodcoversthedeterminationofmanganeseinconcentrationsfrom0.10to5.00%.1.7Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofphosphorusinconcentrationsfrom0.002to0.05%.
