【摘要】:Thesolubilityofglassincontactwithfood,beverages,orpharmaceuticalproductsisanimportantconsiderationforthesafepackagingandstorageofsuchmaterials.Autoclaveconditionsarespecifiedsincesterilizationisoftenemployedforthepackagingoftheproduct.Italsorepresentsoneofthemostextremeconditions,particularlyoftemperature,thatcontainerswillordinarilyexperience.Anyofthethreetestmethodsdescribedmaybeusedtoestablishspecificationsforconformitytostandardvalues,eitherasspecifiedbyacustomer,anagency,orx201C;TheUnitedStatesPharmacopeia:x201D;TestMethodB-AisintendedparticularlyfortestingglasscontainersprimarilydestinedforcontainmentofproductswithapHunder5.TestMethodB-WisintendedparticularlyfortestingglasscontainerstobeusedforproductswithapHof5.0orover.TestMethodP-Wisahydrolyticautoclavetestprimarilyintendedforevaluatingsamplesfromuntreatedglasscontainers.ItisoftenusefulfortestingtheresistanceofcontainersoftoosmallcapacitytopermitmeasurementsofsolubilityontheunbrokenarticlebytheB-Wtestmethod.Yieldingthewaterresistanceofthebulkglass,itcanalsobeusedinconjunctionwiththeB-Wtestmethodtodistinguishwhethertheinternalsurfaceofacontainerhasbeentreatedtoimproveitsdurability.Allthreetestmethodsaresuitableforspecificationacceptance.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheevaluationoftheresistanceofglasscontainerstochemicalattack.Threetestmethodsarepresented,asfollows:1.1.1TestMethodB-Acoversautoclavetestsat121x00B0;Conbottlespartiallyfilledwithdiluteacidastheattackingmedium.1.1.2TestMethodB-Wcoversautoclavetestsat121x00B0;Conbottlespartiallyfilledwithdistilledwaterastheattackingmedium.1.1.3TestMethodP-Wcoversautoclavetestsat121x00B0;Conpowderedsampleswithpurewaterastheattackingmedium.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
