【摘要】:Moistaircontainingsulfurdioxidequicklyproduceseasilyvisiblecorrosiononmanymetalsinaformresemblingthatoccurringinindustrialenvironments.Itisthereforeatestmediumwellsuitedtodetectporesorothersourcesofweaknessinprotectivecoatingsanddeficienciesincorrosionresistanceassociatedwithunsuitablealloycompositionortreatments.Theresultsobtainedinthetestshouldnotberegardedasageneralguidetothecorrosionresistanceofthetestedmaterialsinallenvironmentswherethesematerialsmaybeused.PerformanceofdifferentmaterialsinthetestshouldonlybetakenasageneralguidetotherelativecorrosionresistanceofthesematerialsinmoistSO2service.1.1Thispracticecoverstheapparatusandproceduretobeusedinconductingqualitativeassessmenttestsinaccordancewiththerequirementsofmaterialorproductspecificationsbymeansofspecimenexposuretocondensedmoisturecontainingsulfurdioxide.1.2Theexposureconditionsmaybevariedtosuitparticularrequirementsandthispracticeincludesprovisionsforuseofdifferentconcentrationsofsulfurdioxideandfortestseitherrunningcontinuouslyorincyclesofalternateexposuretothesulfurdioxidecontainingatmosphereandtotheambientatmosphere.1.3Thevariantofthetesttobeused,theexposureperiodrequired,thetypeoftestspecimen,andthecriteriaoffailurearenotprescribedbythispractice.Suchdetailsareprovidedinappropriatematerialandproductpurchasespecifications.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifanyassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecificwarningstatement,see4.3.
