【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793isintendedprimarilyfortestingeitherfibresasproducedbyafibremanufacturerorsubsequentlyovercoated(tightbuffered)usingvariouspolymers.Thetestcanbeperformedeitheronfibresasproducedorafterexposuretovariousenvironments.ThistestappliestoA1,A2,A3andBfibres.Theobjectofthisstandardistoestablishuniformrequirementsforthemechanicalcharacteristic-coatingstrippability.Thistestquantifiestheforcerequiredtomechanicallyremovetheprotectivecoatingfromopticalfibresalongtheirlongitudinalaxis.Thistestisnotintendedasameanstomaximizefibrestrengthafterthecoatingisremovednorisitintendedtospecifythebestconditionsforfieldstrippingofopticalfibres.Thistestisdesignedforopticalfibreshavingpolymericcoatingswithnominalouterdiametersintherangeof25μmto900μm.Applicationofthismethodtofibreswithoutercoatingdiametersoutsidetherangeof230μmto930μmisnotrecommended.
